Village Trustee Paul Van Cott is chair of the Saranac Lake Local Development Corporation.. The group is now less than a week away from submitting their proposal to the state as part of the Governor’s $10 Million Dollar Downtown Revitalization Initiative..  And he says the concepts for that proposal are coming together..The Village Board, last night added their support to the Local Development Corporation’s Downtown Revitalization proposal. Winning the competition could mean $10 Million Dollars for one downtown in the North Country Regional Economic Development Zone..  Saranac Lake is one of those municipalities competing for the Prize… As for recent awards… The Saranac Lake Local Development Corporation recently awarded $315,500 to the owners of fourteen downtown Saranac Lake buildings to be used toward the more than $750,000 in revitalization work.  This work will be undertaken over the next 12 to 18 months.
