Saranac Lake Police Investigating Ring of Vehicle Break Ins.

The Saranac Lake Police Department is investigating the theft of several items from vehicles parked over night in various parts of the village Thursday morning. At least 11 vehicles, parked in the area of French Hill, Sumner Place, Upper Broadway and the Dorsey Street Parking Lot were rifled through..  Saranac Lake’s Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or who may have seen any suspicious activity or persons to call. The Saranac Lake Police Department’s direct phone number is 891-4422.. It is believed the crimes were perpetrated in the early morning hours of Thursday April 28th, sometime after 1:00am. Items reported stolen include 2 iPods, a phone charger and prescription sun glasses. Other small items such as perfume and a charging cord were also reported stolen.
