K&J – World Cup Luge Athletes Head to Weekend Competition in Lake Placid

The Viessmann Luge World Cup returns to Lake Placid this weekend… The competition consists of four events… Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Doubles and the team relay event.. K&J – The 2015 NYSSMA Zone 6 All State Area Music Festival

In today’s WNBZ Podcast… A musical program. That’s because we spent the day at the New York State School Music Association 2015 Zone 6 Area All State Music Festival in Peru. The music festival is attended by some of the best high school musical performers in the state. The program begins with a mixed chorus, and continues with the Area All State Concert Band followed by the women’s chorus, and the Jazz Ensemble.

The Village of Saranac Lake is in the final phase of re-defining building construction and zoning codes and one of the members of the Village Board, Village Trustee Paul VanCott has been actively involved in the re-write for the last several years…  He sits down with us and gives a look at what the work entails…

The new re-write of the code book will simplify our understanding of the overall vision for the village..    The Village Board has been through a few work-sessions over the month of November and will most likely take up contemplation of their final draft before year’s end..
