The Village of Saranac Lake is in the final phase of re-defining building construction and zoning codes and one of the members of the Village Board, Village Trustee Paul VanCott has been actively involved in the re-write for the last several years… He sits down with us and gives a look at what the work entails…
The new re-write of the code book will simplify our understanding of the overall vision for the village.. The Village Board has been through a few work-sessions over the month of November and will most likely take up contemplation of their final draft before year’s end..
Chandler Ralph has announced her retirement, effective as of June 30th in 2016. This, she says, will provide her an opportunity to remain available to support two new Capital projects which were announced on Wednesday morning at the Redfield Board Room at AMC in Saranac Lake.
The first of the two Capital Projects is a new Surgical Services Department for AMC in Saranac Lake. The second project is a campaign to build the Lake Placid Health and Fitness Center in Lake Placid.
