A new study has found that coin flips aren't exactly 50/50.
A team of researchers at the University of Amsterdam analyzed the results of 350,757 coin tosses to determine if the odds were fair. It was discovered that the coins are likely to land on the same side they started.
"We found overwhelming evidence for a 'same-side' bias predicted by Diaconis and colleagues in 2007: If you start heads-up, the coin is more likely to land heads-up and vice versa," researcher František Bartoš said via social media when sharing his results. (UPI)
