51% of Americans think of their car as a part of the family, according to a survey of 2,000 car owners. 53% would keep their current car forever if it were possible.
However, not everyone can agree on what the automobiles of tomorrow will look like: 69% of Gen Zers see electric cars as the way of the future, compared to 31% of boomers.
"We're witnessing a shift in car ownership trends, propelled by interest in electric vehicles, especially with younger generations who see driving electric as the way of the future," Christopher Streahle of Meineke Car Care Centers.
