Punt, Pass & Kick USA, Inc. hosted by the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club

Young football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills when the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club hosts its first Punt, Pass & Kick USA, Inc. competition on Saturday, August 17, starting at 10 am at Melissa Penfield Park, 139 Boynton Ave., Plattsburgh. The competition is free and open to girls and boys, ages 6 – 15. All participants must register online through the PPKUSA.com website for the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis local competition. If any family does not have access to the internet, the child and a parent should arrive 30 minutes earlier to sign up.

The Punt, Pass & Kick USA, Inc. football competition allows youngsters to showcase their talents in 5 skills categories: punting, passing, kicking, broad jump, and 40-yard dash. Separate competition categories are available for boys and girls in age categories 6 & 7, 8 & 9, 10 & 11, 12 & 13, and 14 & 15. Competitors must compete in all five skills events. Awards will be distributed to all first, second, and third place finishers in each of the five skills categories. A number of NFL players have competed in Punt, Pass & Kick, including top former and current NFL quarterbacks, such as Dan Marino and Brett Farve.

Free T-shirts will be given to the first 75 registrants who participate. The top two overall finishers as well as the top two individual skill finishers from each of the 10 age groups at this competition will qualify to advance to a Regional competition, if one is held. The first-place finishers for each age group at the Regional competition will qualify to advance to the National Championships, to be held in January 2025. If no Regional competition is held, then all qualifiers from the Locals advance to the National Finals.
