European researchers have discovered that views of the childfree lifestyle are changing. While voluntarily choosing to not have children was one considered abnormal, fewer people seem to believe that having kids is necessary for a fulfilling life. Respondents in Northern European countries appeared to be the most accepting of a childless lifestyle, with the Netherlands topping the list. Central and Eastern European countries appear to be less accepting. Those with college degrees tended to be more tolerant of the lifestyle, but people with kids tended to be less accepting of those who choose to be childfree. (Study Finds)
