The Plattsburgh Polar Plunge is making its return this year after being postponed due to weather and the COVID-19 pandemic. Set for Saturday, April 5, at Plattsburgh City Beach, the event aims to raise funds for the Special Olympics of New York. Law enforcement agencies, including the New York State Police Troop B, will participate in the plunge to support local athletes. Commander Brent Davison emphasized that the funds raised will directly benefit local Special Olympics athletes throughout the year. Participants and donors can sign up or contribute through the official Polar Plunge website.
