Ticonderoga Shelter-in-Place Order Lifted

Information still sought by Ticonderoga Police Department.

A shelter-in-place order issued Sunday afternoon in Ticonderoga has been lifted, according to local police. Authorities had been conducting a search in the area, leading to a heavy police presence and urging residents to stay indoors. WCAX reports that as of 9 a.m. Monday, police confirmed that the order was no longer in effect and normal activities could resume. Officials have not yet released details about who they were searching for or the reason behind the alert.
