13 prisoners are on the loose in Zambia after a drunken officer allegedly freed them on New Year's Eve. Officials say that Titus Phiri seized the keys from a constable and released them from a police station in Kanyama. Phiri reportedly told the prisoners that they "were free to cross over into the New Year." Phiri also fled the scene, but was apprehended. The 13 prisoners, who are still at large, had been charged with offenses including assault and burglary. (newser)
