Nottinghamshire, England residents are stumped by an unusual mystery: Someone has been leaving plates of peeled bananas by the side of the road once a month for a year. Beeston locals say the fruits appear on the corner of Abbey Road and Wensor Avenue. Clare Short recently erected a sign saying: "Please, respectfully, no more bananas! The uncollected plates and rotting bananas leave such a mess." Despite the new signage, another plate appeared on January 2nd. Some think the bananas are a religious offering. (UPI)
