Rare Whales Appear In Florida With New Calves

Two endangered whales decided to take a Florida vacation with their new babies! Wildlife officials in Florida spotted two female right whales, named Caterpillar and Blackheart, off the coast of Ponte Bedra Beach. Both ladies were accompanied by newborn calves. Caterpillar is a first-time mother. It seems like this is a popular time for the whales to make a trip to the east coast. "Right whales have been sighted all along the Eastern Seaboard in recent weeks," researchers said. (UPI)
