The State Bar of California has admitted that some bar exam questions were developed with AI. Those who took the February bar exam may have their scores adjusted. "The debacle that was the February 2025 bar exam is worse than we imagined," Mary Basick of the University of California said. A small subset of 23 multiple-choice questions were apparently drafted by a non-lawyer who used generative AI.
