The lawyers handled investigations into Trump's mishandling of classified documents, attempts to overturn the 2020 election, and the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. President Trump plans to sign executive orders barring transgender individuals from enlisting in the military and restricting diversity and inclusion initiatives. The orders will disadvantage transgender service members by ending coverage for transition-related medical care and imposing new restrictions on facilities and pronoun usage. (NBC News)


A man recently pardoned by President Trump for a misdemeanor related to the U.S. Capitol riot was shot and killed by an Indiana deputy during a traffic stop. The suspect, Matthew Huttle, resisted arrest and was found in possession of a firearm. An investigation is ongoing, and the officer involved is on administrative leave. (CBS News)


A 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of New England, with shaking felt in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Boston, and Concord, Massachusetts. The quake, centered southeast of York Harbor, Maine, is a rare event along the Atlantic Seaboard, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. (ABC News)


A car injured three pedestrians in a crowd celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles' playoff victory. The driver, in custody, did not seem to have intentionally caused the Sunday night collision. The victims had non-life-threatening injuries, and the incident occurred after the NFC championship game. (AP)
