Perras had a day for the ages on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Shenendehowa Holiday Invitational.
Perras would break a total of three Section VII records on the day, setting the new standard in the 50 Yard Free and 100 Yard Breaststroke. The first record to fall would be in the 50 Yard Free with Perras swimming a time of 21.68, besting the previous record of 22.17 set by PHS swimmer Nick Palma in 2020. Less than an hour later, swimming lead the 200 Free Relay, Perras would break his own record by swimming a 21.64. To finish off the day, he would shatter the Section VII record in the 100 Breastroke by swimming a 58.01, taking 1st place overall in the event. The previous record time of 1:01.41 was set in 1993 by PHS swimmer Curt Hanover.
