We follow-up on a story we did back in 2021 on attribution science to update listeners on how the field has evolved and the bigger role it plays today. Attribution science, simply put, analyzes extreme weather events to find out if climate change played a role in the event’s occurrence as well as its severity or frequency. We speak with attribution science expert Andrew Pershing about the field’s evolution and current focuses.
