Criss On Sports - March 16, 2026
The Bolton Eagles punched their ticket to the NYS boy's basketball Final Four with a 70-65 win over Heuvelton. Every other Section VII hoops squad fell in the Regional final. The Saranac girl's bowling team had a strong showing at the NYS championships. The Beekmantown boy's hockey team's playoff run came to a halt at the hand of Byram Hills. Plattsburgh State runner Grace Yarkosky finished second in the nation in the 400-meter dash at the DIII Championships. The Cardinals women's hockey team suffered a heartbreaking overtime defeat to Williams College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Beekmantown Eagles boys hockey team is in Buffalo for the Division 2 Final Four, while Syracuse will host the NYS Girls & Boys bowling championships.
About Steve Criss
Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84). Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade! Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!
Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters. Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
