  #1 Bolton hammered Boquet Valley 59-25, and Schroon Lake/Newcomb beat Wells 66-38 to set up a Class D showdown Saturday at 3pm at The Clinton Community College.

• Criss On Sports - February 26, 2025

  The Chazy Lady Eagles basketball team knocked off state-ranked Bolton last night in the Section 7 playoffs, and Beekmantown’s Josh Sand made a remarkable return to the hardwoods after suffering an injury on November 8 on the football field. Steve had a chance to interview Josh after the game.

• Criss On Sports - February 24, 2025

  The 4 x 200 relay team of Brayden Carabello, Nate Lambert, Nate Baker, and Dominic DeAngelo of Plattsburgh High set a new Section 7 record with a time of 1:33.46 at The Garden State TC Invitational at The Armory Track in NYC. ADK United girls' hockey team repeated at NYS Girls Hockey champs with a 3-1 win over Skaneateles Saturday. ADK narrowly defeated Beekmantown on Friday evening 1-0 with 30 seconds remaining in the 3rd period, as a puck was thrown to the middle and went off a player's skate and into the net, to give ADK the victory.

 

About Steve Criss

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84).  Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade!  Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!

Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters.  Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
